(The Policy Dialogue Workshop serves as a preamble to the ESIPP Agro-Industry 2008
Sector Parnership Meeting, 6 – 8 May 2008) |

This ESIPP Workshop will bring together key players in the SADC agro-industrial
sectors (intermediary organisations - “IOs”, institutions, government representatives
and private companies) to participate in the development of investor friendly policies
for the sector in the region. |
|
|
The Workshop will address three areas:
- Tackling key policy issues that are currently having an adverse effect on sectoral
development in the SADC region
- Improving active policy dialogue between IOs and government on a SADC-wide scale.
- Increasing the involvement of IOs in the policy dialogue/formulation process in
SADC.
